Use this form to submit your talk for 3MT 2023. Submissions must be made by 19th June, 11:59 pm. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Make sure you have checked off all of the items below. If you don’t follow this checklist, your entry may be disqualified!
To be eligible to submit, you must be a currently enrolled VUW Research Postgraduate Student (including Honours, Masters or Doctoral degrees, so long as they have a research component)
Upload your talk to Vimeo (you’ll need to enter the URL of the video below).
Ensure you have followed all the virtual competition rules on the University of Queensland website. In particular,
The talk must be 3 minutes or less. The time is taken from when you first start speaking (not the length of the video)
Only a single static slide, with no animations or transitions
The 3-minute audio must be continuous – no sound edits or breaks
You should include a title slide with your name, faculty and the title of the talk. You can use this template.
Note: For the VUW 3MT competition, all currently enrolled VUW Postgraduate students are eligible to enter, but only PhD students can represent VUW at the international competition.
