VUW PGSA is the representative organization for postgraduates
at Te Herenga Waka/the Victoria University of Wellington (Wellington, New Zealand)

The Victoria University of Wellington Postgraduate Students’ Association (the VUW PGSA) exists to build community among postgraduates; represent postgraduates at university and faculty level; and encourage and celebrate excellence in postgraduate research here at Vic.

VUW PGSA membership

Membership of the VUW PGSA is voluntary and you are not automatically a member of the VUW PGSA just because you are a postgraduate at Te Herenga Waka/the Victoria University of Wellington. To be a member you need to actively opt in. The university does not share your contact details with the VUW PGSA so unless you choose to become a member we have no way of contacting you or letting you know about what we are doing and what is going on with postgraduate life at Vic. There are no membership fees or other charges to be a VUW PGSA member: the PGSA is funded from a (tiny!) proportion of the student services levy that you paid on enrolment at the university.

The easiest way to become a member of the VUW PGSA is to click on the big green button below and fill in the simple membership registration form that it links to. You can also e-mail us to join at pgsa@vuw.ac.nz.

Get more involved

The VUW PGSA is run by a volunteer executive and other amazing volunteer postgraduates who give their time free of charge to serve their fellow postgraduates. We are always looking for more help, whether as an executive member, university rep, faculty rep, programme rep, breakfast social coordinator or meeter and greeter, social media whiz or communications and engagement supremo, so whatever your talents and experience, if you’re keen to be involved, please let us know. You can e-mail us at pgsa@vuw.ac.nz.
